The clinic is just 20 minutes from the beach resort area of Playas de Tijuana. Also, Rosarita Beach is abour 45 minutes from the clinic. There are many hotels at very reasonable rates. The staff at Sam Dental Tijuana can facilitate a nice vacation time of rest & relaxation for you. Go to the beach between dental appointments. It is a nice area, very peaceful, and scenic. It is far enough away from down town so that it is very safe and yet is close enough to be convienient for your dental work in Mexico.
Transportation for Dental Tourism in Tijuana:
Sam Dental, a Mexico dental clinic in Tijuana close to the border in downtown Tijuana, about fifteen blocks from Mexican Customs at the border. Initially, Sam Dental will pick you up at border and take you to our Mexico dentist clinic upon your arrival, at no charge. Subsequent pickups are $5. You can also take a taxi anywhere for $5 to $7, or you can pay our "shuttle driver" the same amount as a taxi to take you around town or to your hotel. We are a Mexico dentist that will go the second mile to please!

Our first choice. This is a truely top knotch, 4 star hotel, just 4 blocks from Sam Dental, your dentist in Tijuana. It is very secure, (across the street is the police station), and has quality restaurants.

Mexico Dental tourism at La Villa de Zaragoza, Tijuana.
Here is where most of our patients have stayed, mainly because of it's close proximity. A modest hotel that is just 2 blocks from the dentist in Tijuana. It is not fancy, but is very clean and descent. There are several good restaurants, both on site as well as next door, and across the street. Cost is about $40 per night, if you tell them you are from Sam Dental, you will get 10% off.

Dental Tourism at City Express, Tijuana.
A newly built, nicer hotel. A fairly nice place, however, not extravagant. A multi-story building, with impressive security, both inside as well as in the parking area. Yo will find several photos on their website.About 8 blocks from our clinic. The prices on the website are listed in Mexican Pesos, but remember to divide the amount by 13.5, (the current exchange rate). The cost is about $58 per night with tax, and worth it.

Dental tourism at Hacienda del Mar, Tijuana.
Many folks have stayed here because it is near the beach. A very nice moderate hotel, but is about 20 minutes from the clinic. Very nice for a relaxing stay. It is medium sized, (60 rooms), located just a couple minutes walking distance from the beach. There are several good restaurants, and shoping nearby. The cost is $38 per night. But transportation to the clinic will cost $7 each way.

Located in the Zona del Rio district, about10 blocks from the clinic. This is a nicer Tijuana hotel with good rates, starting at about $59 per night. They have internet an connection in each room.

Los Pelicanos Hotel, Rosarito
Located in Rosarito on the Pacific seashore, Los Pelicanos Hotel offers a space of tranquility and comfort. This hotel is right on the beach. It is one of our favorite hotels in the area. Although, it is a little far away for the days that you are are in the middle of dental treatments, it is perfect for the time you are waiting for your lab work to get done. This is a real cozy get away. There is easy access via a shuttle bus that takes you from near Sam Dental clinic to Rosarito.

This is a lower cost, fairly decent hotel located in the USA, just 10 blocks from the border, You can take a city bus back and forth to the border crossing for your appointments with your Mexican dentist. Hotel, Best Western Americana Inn, San Ysidro, CA. A very good hotel and perfect forthose who don't want to stay in Mexico. Good for dental tourism. Rooms start at $69.95 plus tax, but for an additional $10 per night, they will transport you back and forth to Sam Dental in Tijuana for all your dental appointments. They also offer shuttle service to and from San Diego Airport for $60.Ask for a Mexico dental tourism discount.
