Tijuana is one of the most visited cities in the country, where culture, tradition and art is expressed all over the city. CECUT


CECUT stands for  Tijuana’s Cultural Center the most important center of the  northwest region. There you can find everything related to art and traditional and contemporary culture. They have so many cultural programs like galleries, literature, concerts and dance presentations, there is also a Dome IMAX for art films. Avenida Revolucion

The most famous and emblematic avenue in Tijuana is Avenida Revolucion, it is full of colorful streets expressing the Mexican tradition. There is a variety of restaurants and stores you can stop by, and if you are looking for a little extra fun the night there might just be for you, there is a lot of bars and night clubs you can visit. Located in Tijuana´s downtown, a couple of minutes away from the border.

 

Mercado Hidalgo

Is a 35 year old market located at Guadalupe Victoria #2, Zona Urbana Rio. What makes this place so special is the variety of products you can find where they keep a mexican scene in their items such as: fresh fruit and vegetables, candy, bread, mexican toys and so much more. It is visited by around 8,000 families that visit Tijuana over the weekend coming from Baja California, United States and other countries. Don’t forget to visit.

 

Playas de Tijuana

This zone of Baja California is well known for its beaches, restaurants and shopping malls. There is a lovely pier for you to enjoy with all types of art expressed in it. It is located northwest of Tijuana.

 

 

 

El Trompo

 

If you are looking for a place to have fun with your family this interactive museum is a great option, specialized in tech and science. Counting with 4 interactive halls and a 3D format movie theater. There are also conferences and concerts and so much more. Parque Morelos

 

This beautiful ecological reserve full of trees and green areas, offers many outdoor attractions for you and your family like, taking a boat ride in the lake, getting on a zipline or visiting the mini zoo that is inside the park. It is located in Avenida de los Insurgentes 16000 22105 Tijuana BC.

 

Wax Museum Tijuana

 

 

The Wax museum of Tijuana was inaugurated in 1993, it counts with a collection of 80 replicas of historic characters, artists and movie legends like J.F. Kennedy, Marylin  Monroe, Emiliano Zapata and many more. Located at Calle 1 Calle Articulo 123, 8281, Zona Centro.

 

 

Plaza Rio Tijuana

 

Plaza Rio is a mall full of stores, restaurants and counts with a movie theater as well, 5 minutes away from the border and even closer from Samaritan Dental. If you have some free time during or after your dental treatment you can do some shopping, grab a bite or walk around the mall.

 

 

Palacio Jai Alai

 

Located in Avenida Revolucion between 7th and 8th street is Jai Alai Palace. This building is almost 7 decades old, it was constructed for the Jai Alai tournaments. Then it became more of a cultural, show space and concerts. This year the Jai Alai tournaments will start again since 21 years with no activity.

 

 

Museo de las Californias

 

 

This museum opened since 2000 is located in the central building of CECUT. Its main purpose is to exhibit the history of Baja California. If you want to learn more of California’s history you should visit this museum.
